Cesar Mireles

Cesar Mireles began his coaching career in the fall of 2013 and has dedicated every year since to the disciplines of Cross Country and Track and Field. His coaching philosophy centers on helping athletes reach their full potential by studying their individual needs, setting ambitious goals, and maintaining motivation, discipline, and confidence.

Mireles’ coaching journey includes significant roles at Rocky Mountain College, an NAIA institution in Montana, and Bakersfield College, where he served as an assistant coach for three years. Noteworthy achievements include leading his high school boys' cross-country team to Montana’s first state title in 2015, coaching the state individual champion in 2020, and securing five team state podiums in Montana. At Bakersfield College, he coached the 2023 Women’s State Steeplechase Champion and two All-American runners, while also contributing to the men’s cross-country team’s first conference title in 30 years.

A Bakersfield native, Mireles is driven by his love for running and the influence of past coaching mentors, including Bernardo Salcido, Coach Dave Frickel, Alan King, and Pam Kelley. His future goals include building a competitive program and guiding athletes to academic and athletic success.
