BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College Renegades put on an offensive showcase in their two out of three-game series against West LA, outscoring their opponents 33-12 to secure the sweep.
In the series opener on the road, Bakersfield exploded for nine runs in the sixth inning and cruised to a 17-9 victory. The Renegades racked up 19 hits, with Trenton Hernandez (4 RBIs) and Ben Ullyott (3 RBIs) leading the charge. Liam O'Reilly delivered a dominant pitching performance, throwing six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts. Despite a late six-run surge from West LA in the eighth, Bakersfield's early offensive explosion proved insurmountable.
Returning home for Game 2, the Renegades kept their foot on the gas, dismantling West LA 16-3. Luke Mann fueled the offense with a triple, a double, and three RBIs, while Ben Ullyott and Isaac Torres also drove in three runs a piece. Ryan Morales was lights out on the mound, allowing just two hits over seven shutout innings while striking out 10. A seven-run sixth inning put the game out of reach as Bakersfield cruised to their second convincing win.
With the sweep, the Renegades improved to 10-9 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
