Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College Baseball Team hosted El Camino College on Saturday in the final game of a three-game home stand at Gerry Collis Field and came away with an extra innings victory, 4-3.
Ashanti Ross got the Renegades on the board first scoring off a Landn Kauk groundout RBI. El Camino came back in the second to put two runs across and take the 2-1 lead.
BC scored two runs in the sixth, but El Camino tied it up at 3-3 scoring a run in the seventh. Going into 11th, Zach Williams ended the game, and gave the Renegades the victory over the Warriors, with a walk-off triple that scored Landn Kauk from first.
Nate Ortiz got the start at pitcher for BC and worked through six innings with five strikeouts; allowing two hits and two runs. Chris Rodriguez came in to relieve at the start of the seventh and pitched through the ninth. Michael Kesse came in for the save to pitch the tenth and eleventh innings.
With the win, BC improves to 7-3 overall.
