Bakersfield, CA –The Renegade women's soccer team faced off against Clovis College on Friday evening at Memorial Stadium and came away with their second loss of the season, 3-1.
Clovis opened the scoring in the 9th minute when they scored amidst a cluster of players in front of the goal to go up 1-0. In the 28th minute BC's Michelle Vargas (Fr.) found the back of the net to even up the score at 1-1 to go into the half.
In the 58th minute Clovis scored to go ahead 2-1. Shortly after the Renegade bench received a yellow card. In the 85th minute Clovis added another goal to add to the final score of 3-1.
"Mistakes killed us", commented Coach Scott Dameron, "I liked the way we played, but mistakes killed us."
With the loss the Renegades move to 5-2 on the season. They will stay at home for their next game on Tuesday, September 25th at 5:00 pm in Memorial Stadium against Clovis.
