
Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College Women's basketball team hosted visiting Taft College on Friday afternoon and won 79-66.
The Renegades controlled the entire first half. To open the second quarter they opened up on a 12-point run and went into halftime with a 33-14 lead.
The Cougars mounted a slow second half comeback, coming within 7 points with 1:44 left in the game, but BC held and came away with their fifth win of the season, 79-66.
Leading BC in scoring for the game was Dasia Wandick with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Vada Lewis contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds and Brianna Mendez scoring 9 and grabbing 10 rebounds.
With the win Renegades improve to 5-6 overall on the season.
Up next, they will head on the road for their next game at West Hills-Lemoore on Tuesday, Dec. 11th at 6:00pm.
