
BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College softball team put together another dominant performance Wednesday afternoon, this time, defeating LA Mission 12-2 in five innings at home. A massive eight-run fourth inning broke the game open, sealing the Renegades' second straight run-rule victory.
Serenity Angulo starred on both sides of the ball, launching two home runs while driving in two runs and pitching five strong innings, allowing just two runs on five hits with four strikeouts. Cambria Scott also went deep, driving in three RBIs to help fuel the offensive outburst.
Aliya Perez continued her strong play, scoring three times and swiping another stolen base, while Brylee Bramhall and Elizabeth Alderete each chipped in two RBIs.
Bakersfield struck early with two runs in the first, but LA Mission responded with a two-run second to briefly tie the game. The Renegades pulled ahead in the third before exploding for eight runs in the fourth, putting the game out of reach.
BC, added another win to their season, 10-9, and will travel to Cuesta College this weekend for a doubleheader and host Glendale on Monday, March 17 for a 2:30 pm start time.
