Alvarado hits a walk off single scoring Bramhall to defeat Compton College at home!

BAKERSFIELD, CA - In a tightly contested matchup between the Bakersfield College Renegade softball team and Compton College at home, battled in a game that ended with a narrow walkoff 5-4 victory for Bakersfield.

Compton's offense showed promise, collecting ten hits and scoring four runs. Despite their efforts, Compton fell short of securing the win.

Bakersfield's offense was led by Brylee Bramhall, who had a standout game, hitting two triples and driving in two runs. Paige Alvarado also had a strong showing, with three hits, including a double, and two RBIs. The team capitalized on scoring opportunities and secured the win with timely hitting.

Destiny Vega started the game for Compton but struggled early, allowing three runs in six innings. Eleana Rocha came in relief but couldn't contain Bakersfield's offense, allowing two additional runs.

For Bakersfield, Ryleigh Harrison started and pitched 3.1 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits. Savannah Figueroa relieved Harrison and provided stability, shutting down Compton's offense for the remainder of the game.

Despite Compton's efforts to rally late in the game, Bakersfield's pitching and timely hitting proved the difference-maker, securing the victory.

With another home victory, Bakersfield moves to an 11-5 overall season record. Next up, BC will host Citrus College on Thursday, March 14th, at 2:30 p.m.
