
The BC softball team (13-4) took both games of a double-header from Taft College on Tuesday. In the first game, which turned out to be a pitchers duel, was decided by a pich hit double by Saideee Banuelos, in the bottom of the sixth inning that drove in two runs. Kylee Fahy (9-2) gave up one hit and struck out 11 while getting the win.
The Renegades took game two 8-0 in five innings. Kylee Fahy (10-2) continued where she left of in the first game. She gave up 3 hits and struck out 3 in four innings of scoreless work. McKenna Valencia pitched the final inning giving up no hits and striking out two. Valencia also had a good game from the plate going 2-3 with 2 RBI and a run scored. Ashley Hernandez and Naizemarie Ubay also came up big with their bats. Hernandez was 3-3 with with an RBI and two runs scored while Ubay was 1-2 with a homerun, 3 RBI and a 2 runs scored.
The softball team is back in action today at 2:30 PM when they host Santa Barbara.
