The Bakersfield College Softball team (7-11-1, 4-0) beat Santa Monica (5-15, 0-4) 15-3 in five innings Thursday to extend their winning streak to four games.

"In the fifth inning, we really hit the ball," Coach Christie HIll said, "We had five hits, three walks, and a couple errors led to us scoring nine runs. SIx of the nine were earned runs."

Four of those came on a Maddie Arambula grand slam.

"She was three for three today with a walk and a five RBI, she's being more patient at the plate and it's paying off," Hiill said.

Trinidad Lee picked up the win for the Lady 'Gades, giving up five hits, one walk, and one hit batsmen, while surrendering three earned runs, all of which came in the first inning.

Lee also had a two-run homer in the second inning, and Alyssa Gonzales was three for four with two RBI.

The Lady 'Gades play Riverside City College on the road Wednesday, March 19th at Noon and 2pm.
