Bakersfield College proudly celebrates the continued athletic careers of Ishmael Nungaray, Jacob Nungaray, and Jacob Perez, who are set to compete at the next level following standout performances in track and field.

Twin brothers Ishmael and Jacob Nungaray will take their talents to California State University, Bakersfield, where they will compete in track and field at the NCAA Division I level. They will compete in the Big West Conference. 

Joining them at the next level is Jacob Perez, who will continue his career in both cross country and track and field. A versatile and determined athlete, Perez had a breakout season capped by a 5th-place finish in the steeplechase at the CCCAA State Championships.

All three athletes played key roles in helping Bakersfield College secure a third-place team finish at the 3C2A State Championship in cross-country, contributing points and momentum throughout the season. Their efforts, both individually and as teammates, were a driving force behind one of the most successful cross-country seasons in Renegade history.
