BAKERSFIELD, CA – The Renegade men's tennis team traveled to Irvine Valley College to take on the Lancers in the first round of southern team playoffs. Bakersfield came out on top winning 5-4.

1. Alex Lauinger (BC) lost to Kiichi Ishada (IVC); 6-3, 6-0
2. Lucas Specht (BC) defeats Devon Kashishian IVC); 6-0, 6-1
3. Sage Nguyen (BC) lost to Alyan Ashraf (IVC); 6-2, 6-4
4. Moses Jimenez (BC) defeats Harold Santana (IVC); 6-0,3-6,6-4
5. Brett Yackovich (BC) defeats Sergio Jardas (IVC); 6-1, 2-6, 2-6
6. Clajerson Gimena (BC) lost to Rudra Pathak (IVC); 6-1, 6-0

Doubles Results:

1. Specht/Yackovich (BC) defeats Kashishian/Ashraf (IVC); 8-4
2. Lauinger/Nguyen (BC) defeats Ishada/Santana (IVC); 8-6
3. Jimenz/Choi (BC) lost to Jardas/Pathak (IVC); 9-8

Next up, Bakersfield will play in round two against the number one ranked 1 team College of the Desert next Tuesday, April 18th.
