SANTA MONICA, CA - The Bakersfield College swim teams made waves at the Western State Conference Swimming Championships, capping off a successful three-day meet with a 2nd-place finish overall for the men's team and 6th place for the women's team. The event was hosted by Santa Monica College and featured elite competition from across the region.
The Renegade men were outstanding from start to finish, earning multiple event wins, setting five new school records, and taking second place overall. Cody Hart was the star of the meet, collecting four individual school records (50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 100 IM), a relay record, and claiming the title of WSC Champion in the 50 Free and 100 IM.
The men's team won four relay titles across the three days:
200 Free Relay – [Dawson Hoff, Emi Ibarra, David Hernandez, Cody Hart]

800 Free Relay – [Cody Hart, Emi Ibarra, Ethan Cobbs, Dawson Hoff]

Bakersfield's consistent top-8 finishes across all strokes and distances displayed the depth of the team, and Head Coach Matt Moon was recognized as the WSC Men's Coach of the Year.
