Renegades Fall to Pasadena City in Playoff Opener, Ending the Season

PASADENA, CA– The Bakersfield College men's soccer team saw their playoff run come to an end Wednesday, November 20th, falling 3-0 to Pasadena City College in the first round of the 3C2A SoCal Regional Playoffs, round 1.

The Renegades, seeded 18th with an 11-6-5 record, entered the match hoping to upset the 15th-seeded Lancers. However, Pasadena City capitalized early and maintained control throughout the game.

Victor Melendez was busy in goal for Bakersfield, making four saves to keep the match within reach, but the Renegades couldn't capitalize on their three corner kicks or string together enough consistent attacks.

With the loss, Bakersfield's season comes to an end, concluding with an 11-7-5 record. Despite the result, the Renegades showcased grit and determination throughout the season, earning their place in the playoffs and setting the stage for future success.
