BAKERSFIELD, CA - In a tight match, the Bakersfield College men's soccer team edged out the visiting Citrus College Owls with a 1-0 victory, thanks to a late-game goal.
In the 84th minute, Bakersfield's Isaiah Castaneda scored the game-winning goal, assisted by Joshua Bryant and Oscar Villagrana. Both teams struggled to convert throughout the game, with neither side recording shots on goal until Castaneda's breakthrough. BC's goalkeeper Victor Melendez preserved the clean sheet, and defensive discipline remained strong on both sides despite a few yellow cards late in the match.
