Men's Soccer Ties on the Road at Citrus

GLENDORA, CA—The Bakersfield College men's soccer team traveled to Citrus College to take on the Owls. The teams played to a 1-1 draw and came alive in the second half, with each scoring a goal but ultimately unable to find a decisive breakthrough.

Bakersfield opened the scoring just after halftime in the 46th minute, when sophomore Jordee Magana found the back of the net with an assist from Christopher Gandara, giving the Renegades a 1-0 lead. Bakersfield controlled much of the play, tallying 10 shots, with 3 on goal, but struggled to extend their lead.

Citrus responded late in the game, equalizing in the 85th minute.

Both teams traded chances throughout the match, with BC holding the edge in shots and Citrus managing more corner kicks.

With the tie, Bakersfield moves to 5-4-4 on the season. Up next, the men will travel to Antelope Valley on Friday then return home on Tuesday, October 22nd to take on College of the Canyons for a 4:00 pm kickoff.
