Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Men's Soccer team hosted the Antelope Valley Marauders in their first conference match of the season at the BC Soccer Fields on Friday afternoon and came away with a 1-0 victory.

Within the first few minutes of the game the Renegades scored the game's lone goal on a penalty kick goal scored by Edgar Gonzalez.

The remainder of the game remained a tough defensive battle with a number of yellow cards handed out on both sides.

With the win, the Renegades move to 7-5-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference. Up next, they continue conference play hosting Glendale this coming Tuesday (10/22) at 2pm.
