BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College men's golf team competed at The Ranch Course in Alisal on Monday, finishing 6th overall with a team score of 405 in a highly competitive field.

Leading the way for the Renegades was team captain Shawn Petty, who carded a 77 on the day. Petty faced early adversity, making the turn at 5-over-par but showed resilience on the back nine, grinding his way to an impressive even-par 36 to finish strong.

The Ranch Course presented a tough test with its rolling fairways and challenging greens, but the team fought hard throughout the round. While the Renegades aimed for a higher finish, the performance provided valuable experience as they continue their season and look to improve in upcoming tournaments.

Next up, BC will prepare for its next challenge, looking to build on the positives from this event and climb the leaderboard.
