BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College Men's Golf Team kicked off the first Western State Athletic Conference tournament at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, CA. Competing on a challenging course, the team posted a score of 410, finishing 6th out of 8 teams.

Leading the charge for the Renegades was team captain Shawn Petty, who carded a solid 78 to set the pace for our squad. Head coach Nick Kaiser expresses, "While we didn't place as high as we hoped, this tournament sets the foundation for growth as we continue our season." "Proud of our guys for battling out there—time to regroup, sharpen our game, and come back stronger!"
