
Bakersfield College Men's basketball team (14-4, 3-1) Head Coach Rich Huhges has said all along that slow starts have been the "achilles' heel" of his 2015-2016 squad, and he was proven correct Saturday night on the road in a 67-61 loss to the Glendale Vaqueros (7-9, 3-1).
The loss knocked Bakersfield out of sole posssession of first place in the powerful Western State Conference South and into a three-way tie with Antelope Valley and Santa Monica.
The Renegads were down 34-30 at the half to Glendale and failed to find their footing.
Jameik Riviere led the 'Gades with 21 points, but Deandre Dickson was held to just four.
The game sets the stage for a huge clash with Antelope Valley this Wednesday night at 7pm in the Gil Bishop Sports Center.
