The Renegades have never started a season 0-5, and Coaches and player alike are aware of the significance of tonight's game.
"We don't want to be THAT team," defensive back Dominic Frasch said two weeks ago.
Head Coach Jeff Chudy says it's not as simple as it seems, and he doesn't blame the skill level of his players.
"We've made mistakes against really good teams," Chudy said, "But there are 11 guys on that field, so we can't blame one position or one player. We are a team."
West High product David Ross has been a revelation at wide receiver, hauling in a short pass from Dalton Gallis and turning it into an 88 yard touchdown play with his speed.
"I just want to help my team win," Ross said, "and we don't need to panic just because we are 0-5. We should be upset about it, of course. But we have to use it as motivation."
The combined records of BC's first five opponents is 24-1.
"We played some great teams, no doubt," Chudy said, "but the bottom line is you can't make mental mistakes and turn the ball over to any team and expect to win."
