Bakersfield, CA - The Renegade Women's Beach Volleyball team hosted Fresno in their first home match of the season at Cal State Bakersfield's Barnes Beach Volleyball Complex on a rainy Wednesday afternoon and came away with a close loss, 3-2. 

Results from the afternoon matches are:

1's: Emmerling/Corippo (FCC) def. Zepeda/Townson (BC) (21-18, 22-20)

2's- Merante/Camarillo (BC) def. MacDonald/Unruh (FCC) (21-16, 15-21, 18-16)

3's- Castleman/Weedman (FCC) def. Lopez/Villavazo (BC) (21-16, 21-19)

4's- Garcia/Strode (BC) def. Verana/Moore (FCC) (22-20, 21-9)

5's- Briggs/Kirkman (FCC) def. Johnson/Bayne (BC) (21-15, 14-21, 17-15)

Next up, the Renegades will travel up north this Friday 3/1 for matches against Sierra College at 11am and Feather River at 1pm.
