The Western State Conference Beach Volleyball Pairs Championship turned into a showcase for Bakersfield College.  It was an all BC final after Alex Paris/Sarah Armendariz (BC's #2 team) defeated Fanslow/McKeown of Ventura and Brooke Horack/Jourdan Muro ( BC's # 1 team) took care of Yoon/Bostwick of Santa Monica.  

In the Championship match Horack/Muro took the first game 21-19, in game two Paris/Armendariz bounced back to win 21-15.  In the third and deciding game Horack/Muro found themselves in a hole, but fought back to take the game and championship winning 15-13.

Both pairs advanced to the SoCal Regional Pairs Championship.  Brooke Horack and Jourdan Muro will be the three seed, while Alex Paris/Sarah Armendariz will be the eight seed.

Quarter-Finals

Paris/Armendariz defeated Dixon/Emory of Antelope Valley 21-15, 21-5

Horack/Muro defeated Green/Bradford of Antelope Valley 21-11, 21-12

Semi Finals

Paris/armendariz defeated Fanslow/Mckeown of Ventura 14-21, 21-15, 15-11

Horack/Muro defeated Yoon/Bostwick of Santa Monica 21-11, 22-20

Championship Match

Horack/Muro defeated Paris/Armedariz 21-19, 15-21, 15-13

The beach volleyball team will compete in the SoCal Regional Team Championsips on May 1st and Paris/Armendariz and Horack/Muro will compete in the SoCal Regional Pairs Championship next Friday.
