BAKERSFIELD, CA - Renegade Athletics is proud to announce the Athletes of the Week, this week (02/14-02/20):

Kaydn Smith (Sophomore) Softball

Kadyn Smith earned Player of the Week recognition on the 3CFCA, which is why she is also a Renegade of the week! The sophomore helped led the No. 8 Renegades to a perfect 4-0 week. The designated player left the yard four times including a game-tying solo shot in the bottom of the fourth inning versus previously undefeated and No. 10 Fullerton College. She drew a walk the following inning and scored the go-ahead run in the 3-1 win. She ended the game against LA Mission in the bottom of the fifth with she hit a three-run homer to seal an 8-0 win. Smith totaled six RBIs in a 12-5 win at Antelope Valley with a pair of home runs and a double.

Smith finished the week with 11 RBIs, nine hits, eight runs, and two doubles with a .692 batting average.

Caleb Jameson (Sophomore) Men's Golf

Caleb currently serves as team captain for the 2023 Men's golf squad. The sophomore led the Renegades in conference play at River Ridge Golf Club posting an individual conference 2nd place score of 74. "Caleb continues to push himself and the team to improve as athletes and men on and off the course", Head coach Wes Coble. 

Men's golf will take the green again on March 6th in Santa Maria while softball will play several road games before returning home to play on Tuesday, February 28th against College of the Canyons.
