BAKERSFIELD, CA - Renegade Athletics is proud to announce the Athletes of the Week, this week (04/04-04/10):

Luke Froehlich (sophomore) baseball

During Luke's game against Reedley last week the sophomore outfielder hit a two-run home run in a win against the Tigers at home. The two-game series was split with a loss at Reedley and a win at home. The outfielder went 1-for-3 but had two runs each game. A home run at Gerry Collis field does not come often and the sophomore has hit two on the season.

Nathaniel Rodriguez (Freshman) Men's track and field

Nathanael Rodriguez won the 3000 steeplechase breaking the meet record in his first attempt at the event. The freshman won by 30 yards and his time was good enough for the A standard and is now ranked of third in the state.

Track and Field will enter post-season traveling to the Western State prelims on Friday, April 21st at Antelope Valley College. Baseball starts a three-game series against Antelope Valley College and will be back home on Saturday, April 15th for a 1:00 pm first pitch.
