The GCC Men's Soccer team came close to having different outcomes to a pair of conference games last week but instead fell to Bakersfield College 1-0 Oct. 29 on a goal scored in the last two minutes of the game and then fell to Santa Monica College 2-1 Nov. 1. They are 2-3 in WSC play and 4-9-2 overall.
In the game at Santa Monica, Cesar Crespo scored in the second half in the 48th minute to tie the game at 1-1 before the home team scored to gain the win. Goalie Arvin Navasartian had 14 saves for the Vaqs.
GCC plays at College of the Canyons Tuesday Nov. 5 at 6 pm and hosts Citrus College at 2 pm Friday Nov. 8 at 2 pm at Sartoris Field.
