01/26/18 >> Moorpark baseball blanked Bakersfield on the road Friday afternoon 5-0 in its season opener, anchored by Andrew Nardi's six and two-thirds innings pitched and striking out 12 batters.
Nardi walked just two batters and allowed just one hit - an impressive season debut.
Grant Bunker went 2-for-4 from the plate, including one RBI and two runs scored himself.
Three of the five runs came in the eighth inning, two of which came unearned.
The team continues its play at the Bakersfield Tournament on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against Fullerton.
