Bakersfield College Volleyball (14-8, 2-0) won their seventh consecutive match and remains undefeated in conference play following a 3-1 win over Antelope Valley College (4-8, 0-2) Wednesday night in the Gil Bishop Sports Center.

BC jumped out to an early lead and handily claimed set one before backsliding and losing set two, their first dropped set in more than three matches.

"I think sometimes when you win set one handily, it can set the stage for a dropoff in set two," Coach Carl Feirrera said.

Sophomore Mackenzie Hernandez returned to action after recovering from a leg injury that caused her to miss the previous two matches, and Coach Feirerra was pleased to have her back.

"It was clear we needed a shot in the arm, and that's just what she did," Feirrera said.
