The Bakersfield College Volleyball team (8-6) swept both Cal Lutheran JV and Palomar College 3-0 at Moorpark College Friday. 

Karlee Cornford had nine kills in 17 attempts, and Mackenzie Hernandez put up seven kills in 14 attempts against Cal Luth, while Hannah Pope turned in a 2.50 passing percentage and a 75% perfect passing percentage with 12 digs. 

Pope continues to provide excellent pass and receive performance for the Renegades.

"It has a direct correlation to scoring," Coach Carl Ferreira said, "When she passes like that, we score more points and more efficiently." 

Ferreira used essentially the same recipe in beating Palomar College, but Hernandez and Cornford swapped positions in regard to kills totals. Hernandez had 10 on 17 attempts, while Cornford turnd in 6 kills on 14 attempts against Palomar. Pope's percentages were roughly the same, only she picked up 17 digs against Palomar...an improvement of five over her total against CLU JV.
