BC VOLLEYBALL FINISHES FOURTH AT LA PIERCE TOURNEY AFTER TOUGH DAY TWO

It wasn't for lack of effort, but Bakersfield College couldn't pull out wins in day two of the LA Pierce Kickoff Classic
It wasn't for lack of effort, but Bakersfield College couldn't pull out wins in day two of the LA Pierce Kickoff Classic

After winning twice by playing all 15 athletes on day one, Coach Carl Ferreira and his Renegades would have needed more than every player to beat Mira Costa and Santa Barbara, but he said it isn't the end of the world.

"The bad news is we lost; the good news is...WE WILL DEFINITELY GET THERE because we're skilled enough!" Ferreira said.

He'll get to test his theory as BC opens their home campaign on September 3rd at 10a against Santa Barbara in the Gil Bishop Sports Center, and incredibly, they'll face Mira Costa at 2p in their second match of the day.

A one week turnaround would be remarkable even for Coach Carl and the Renegades.
