Women's Golf Qualify for SoCal Regionals

BAKERSFIELD, CA - After a two-day event at Rio Bravo Country Club, the Bakersfield College women's golf team was able to make a very impressive mark on the Western State Conference Championship. They entered the weekend firmly in fourth place in the conference standings.

After Sunday's impressive second-place finish BC walked off the course with confidence knowing we needed to hold off SBCC for one more round and place in the top three team spots overall. After the scores were added the team ended with a season-low two-day total of 705 (347,358) and knocked SBCC out of third place and claimed the third-place team ranking to advance as a team to SoCal regionals for the second year in a row.

Along with the team ranking Bakersfield also had two outstanding players who were awarded WSC All-Conference awards. Maci Mills and Jaidyn Eldridge both placed in the top 10 individual players in the WSC this season. Maci ended conference play in 4th, and Jaidyn placed 8th out of the 42-player field.

Teammates Taylor Eldridge placed 17th, Bella Burks 22nd , and Abigail McNutt 27th. The team will compete in the two-day SoCal Regional Tournament this coming weekend on Sunday, November 5th, 2023
