The Bakersfield College Women's Basketball team (4-15, 3-6) made improvements in key categories, but couldn't muster a win against a fully loaded College of the Canyons (19-4, 9-0) squad, losing 88-54 on the road. 

The Lady Gades answered a challenge from Coach Paula Dahl to improve ball movement, and leading scorer Kennedy Nielsen added five assists to her 16 points. 

Sophomore McKaiela Tyler added to her strong season-long effort with 16 points and seven rebounds. 

The Lady Gades play LA Valley at home this Saturday in the Gil Bishiop Sports Center at 3pm.
