Softball Explodes for 16 Runs in Dominant Win Over LA Valley

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College softball team fired up their offense Tuesday afternoon, securing a 16-3 victory over LA Valley in just five innings. The Renegades' bats were on fire, racking up 16 hits, including a home run and seven doubles to power past the Monarchs.

Serenity Angulo led the charge, going 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, and a game-high seven RBIs. Brylee Bramhall also had a strong outing, collecting three hits, two doubles, and an RBI, while Andrea Barajas and Alexia Martinez each drove in two runs. Aliya Perez caused havoc on the basepaths, swiping three stolen bases.

On the mound, Alexia Martinez went the distance, allowing just six hits and two earned runs while striking out three in five innings.

BC took control early, responding to LA Valley's two-run first inning with a three-run frame of their own. The Renegades then exploded for seven runs in the second and never looked back, sealing the win with a four-run fourth.

With the win, BC is now 9-9 on the season and will host LA Mission tomorrow due to rain in the forecast for Thursday when the game was originally scheduled for.
