Men's Soccer Grabs a Road Win over Antelope Valley

BAKERSFIELD, CA - In a tightly contested match on Friday, the Bakersfield College men's soccer team secured a 1-0 victory over Antelope Valley, thanks to a second-half goal from Christopher Gandara. The game was evenly matched for most of the 90 minutes, but the Renegade's persistence paid off in the 71st minute when Gandara found the back of the net with an unassisted effort.

Bakersfield pressed early, taking 7 shots in the first half, but Antelope Valley's goalkeeper made crucial saves to keep the game scoreless. Bakersfield continued to apply pressure in the second half, and Gandara's decisive goal came after a strong offensive push.

Defensively, Bakersfield's goalkeeper Victor Melendez made three key saves to preserve the clean sheet.

With this win, Bakersfield moves 6-4-4 on the season and 1-0-1 in conference play.
