Bakersfield Secures Home Win Over LA Valley, 67-59

BAKERSFIELD, CA – The Bakersfield College men's basketball team picked up a crucial home victory on Saturday afternoon, fending off LA Valley with a 67-59 win at Gil Bishop Sports Center.

In a tightly contested first half, the Renegades held a slim 32-30 lead at the break, fueled by efficient three-point shooting (47.1%) in the opening period. BC extended their advantage in the second half behind Ollie Fell, who led all scorers with 16 points while adding four rebounds. Sophomore guard Khalil Shivers contributed 15 points and six assists, and redshirt freshman Isaiah Perry chipped in with 11 points.

Bakersfield remained perfect at the free-throw line, going 12-for-12, and capitalized on the Monarch's 15 turnovers, converting them into 16 points. Forward Godwill Fomusoh made a strong impact off the bench with 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Renegades will head out for two road games next week with College of the Canyons on Wednesday and then take on Santa Monica on Saturday.
