Austin Toerner ran into trouble against Golden West, but Jassen Oliver's bat almost kept the 'Gades in the game.

The Bakersfield College Baseball team (6-4) lost 8-5 to Golden West College (8-2) today in Huntington Beach. 

Left fielder Jassen Oliver was the only Renegade with multiple hits, going three for five with an RBI to lead the Renegades. 

Freshman pitcher Austin Toerner (0-1) picked up the loss, scattering six runs and seven hits over five innings. 

Luke Andrews pitched two innings of relief, giving up two earned runs and three hits while striking out four. 

The Renegades will face the Rustlers in the rubber match Saturday at Noon.
