The Bakersfield College Beach Volleyball team (4-3) beat Santa Monica (0-6) 5-0 in their last match before opening conference play. 

BC will 'host' Antelope Valley at 10am on Friday, March 31st at CSU Bakersfield. The Marauders had their preseason scheduled shortened thanks to rare Southern California rainstorms in February, and their lone matches against Santa Ana and El Camino were tough, losing 4-1 and 5-0 respectively. 

But Coach Carl Feirrera and Company won't take any competition lightly, and the two year old program has been competitive since it's inception. The squad qualified for postseason play on both the team and individual levels, and with the indoor team coming off a conference championship, there is no shortage of talent. 

Following the conference opener at 10am against AV, BC will play Victor Valley (0-2) at Noon.
