The Renegade Beach Volleyball Team lost out in their bid to become Southern Region Team Champions, and advance to the State Championships. 

 "We lost both matches to Irvine Valley College and Mira Costa College, but they were both very talented teams," Coach Carl Ferreira said, "IVC defeated Mira Costa to advance to the the CCCAA Beach Team State Tournament Final Four." 

 But BC did have a silver lining; in the Beach Volleyball postseason format, there is an individual doubles champion as well as a team champion. 

 "Alyssa Matthews and Sarah Aurin will play on Saturday in the CCCAA Beach Pairs State Tournament at Grossmont College," Ferreira said.
