Citrus College scored quickly and often in a 4-0 victory over Bakersfield College Tuesday evening, avenging an earlier 0-0 draw.

The Owls improve to 7-4-4 on the year and 5-1-3 in Western State Conference, while the Renegades drop to 4-8-3 and 2-6-1 in conference.

Just 97 seconds into the contest, Citrus got on the board. Lucy Bower slipped a ball through the Renegade backline, where Dianna Garcia fired it past the Bakersfield goalkeeper. Six minutes later, Garcia struck again, this time off an Emily Romero assist.

Jayme Beatty added some insurance in the 39th minute after firing home a pass from Garcia to put the Owls up 3-0 at halftime. Garcia stripped a Renegade defender of the ball at the top of the 18-yard box and slotted a pass to Beatty, who gave the goalkeeper no chance at making a save.

Citrus wasn't done from there, though, as Beatty found the back of the net once again in the 66th minute.

The Owls remain at home, hosting LA Valley on Friday at 3 p.m.
